There are two types of temperature adjustment systems in injection molding processing, namely cooling system and heating system. These systems are crucial in order to meet the temperature requirements of the product. Typically, the plastic material injected into the mold has a temperature of around 200 degrees. However, when the injection molded parts are taken out of the mold cavity after they are formed, their temperature drops significantly and is below 60 degrees.
Following the injection molding process of thermoplastic plastics, it is essential to ensure efficient cooling of the mold. The primary goal of this cooling process is to facilitate the rapid transfer of heat from the plastic material to the mold. This crucial step enables the injection molded parts to be released promptly once they have been adequately cooled.
If the side walls of the injection molded parts are relatively thin, plastics with lower molten plastic viscosity and better fluidity, such as polyethylene, nylon, and polyethylene, can be naturally cooled in the mold. However, when the side walls of the injection mold are relatively thick, additional manpower is required for cooling. This is necessary to ensure that the injection molded parts are finalized as quickly as possible and improve work efficiency.
To ensure that the plastic injection mold processing process is carried out smoothly and qualified products are produced, it is essential for the injection molding personnel to monitor the temperature of the mold during every production period. This means that the heating and cooling systems must be utilized in a flexible manner to adjust the mold's temperature. By doing so, the process can be strictly controlled, resulting in products that meet the desired standards.
